Seasons Change

Earth Changes

It's been some time now since anything dramatic happened around here. And don't we all just love drama? We love our primetime TV. Action flicks and sports for the men, drama for the women. In fact, in observing children, we see that they can barely discern between what's real and what's not when watching TV. And we're pushing boundaries as we strive to narrow the gap between reality and virtual reality. I readily admit that I'm equally guilty as I love technology and am fascinated by the processor power available to generate HDTV and HD video. Couple it with a large screen and a good sound system and we can temporarily transport ourselves to a different reality.
Maybe it's now time to change our real reality too. Tell me you've noticed something in the weather that you never saw happen a year ago, or 3 years ago or 10 years ago or 50 years ago. It will probably be something to do with warmer or colder weather, snow in spring or summer, heavy rain, wild fires, freak storms, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis. Slightly less noticeable will be the moon in different locations or being unusual in size. Of course if you've not noticed any of this, then you're probably leading a busy life in your world which you have built up and created around yourself and whatever which is outside of the predefined boundaries of your world has minimal impact on your life. In this case, the following musings will hold little relevance to you.

Perceptions

First let's look at our boundaries and walls. Ask yourself how do you gain your knowledge? Do you perform experiments and test, examinations and interviews, 'see with your own two eyes' to gain your knowledge? Our knowledge and experience is what makes up who and what we are, and it assists in our decision making in life, it creates our perceptions and our belief system. If you're a Christian, you will believe Jesus is the one true god. If you're a Muslim you'll believe Allah is the one true god. Let's just say that I am a Christian and Jesus is my one true saviour I was born into a loving Christian family, my friends are Christian and I love my church. Muslims are viewed by us as strange and possibly a threat to us. Stop. Pause. Rewind. Let's say something else happened at point of birth, and I (not the physical body but the me who is thinking of what I am typing, and making these words appear on this computer) am instead born into a Muslim family instead of the Christian family. This family resides in a Muslim country where Christianity is viewed as the oddity, and Islam as the norm. It is still a loving family who provides for my needs, takes care of me and gives me no reason to see Islam anything other than the one true religion.

Wait a minute! How can that be true? Wasn't Christianity the one true religion?

Perceptions 2

In order to control the population, you will need to control education, the media and religion. I read those words in Napoleon Hill's Law of Success. If you think about, that is pretty much how the majority of us create our knowledge and belief system around. Why do we believe Christianity/ Islam is the one true religion? Why do we believe something is better than something else? That man walked on the moon? That there are 9 planets in the universe? That aliens exist/do not exist? That we are the only intelligent life form in the universe? That God exists/does not exist? The answer is simple - that is what we were taught in school, on the news and in church. What we learnt from these sources ultimately shaped our perceptions and belief system, with the majority of us never testing any of these to prove them true or false. Most of us never even question the validity of what we are taught. It is too hard or too much work to think. Sadly, the majority of people prefer to be led and spoon fed, as sheep rather than to take control of our own lives. The beliefs and knowledge we have gained through the 3 quoted systems eventually become our being and anything that falls outside of this circle is seen as false or lies.

As an example, let us say you do not believe in aliens. I ask you, 'why not?' You reply 'because that's what you were taught in church.' Learnt perception 1 - Religion. You add, 'also, haven't you read about all those nuts in the papers who were abducted by aliens? Ha ha! Nuts!' Learnt perception 2 - Media. You add, 'Anyway, haven't you studied any science? Don't you know that all other planets are uninhabitable?' Learnt perception 3 - Education. Finally, to wrap things up into a really neat tight package, anybody who attempts to prove otherwise, is portrayed or labeled as a debunker, conspiracy theorist, nutcase, drunkard, new age, loon, uneducated etc by the media, education/ government and religion.

Never mind that Genesis only states , Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." which does not include the planets and universe.

Never mind that the government will loose grip on the people it rules if they believe that there is possibly something more powerful than their government out there.

Never mind that The other planets are uninhabited to humans but may be perfect for other beings which are evolved to live there, just as saltwater fish can't live in freshwater.

The future

What's next? The first step in advancing further is to recognize the walls that we have created around ourselves, and to understand how they were created. The next step is to then break down these walls.

Once we are able to learn to think for ourselves and to be open to knowledge beyond our current perceptions, we can allow ourselves to grow. It is not for me to tell you what the future holds, but rather to tell you that you need to search for what the future holds instead of just believing what you are told. We have one of the greatest knowledge tools of all time which is the internet. Having said that, you also need to understand that the internet is largely filled with garbage or stuff which is put there to confuse and throw you off your search. However, always remember that the truth is out there. Or in a more religious context, Seek and ye shall find.

Break free and live life to the fullest.
